Oklahoma City Comets News Release

The Oklahoma RedHawks scored all their runs in the first four innings on the way to a 6-4 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes Thursday at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.

The RedHawks scored four runs in the third inning, including two on a double by leftfielder Adam Hyzdu. Hyzdu went two-for-four at the plate with two doubles and two RBIs for the RedHawks.

He stranded runners at second and third in the third inning and stranded the bases loaded in the fourth. RedHawk reliever Bryan Corey pitched the ninth and earned his fifth save of the season.

Designated hitter Will Smith was two-for-four with two RBIs for the RedHawks. In his last nine games, Smith is 13-for-36 (.361) at the plate with seven RBIs.

The RedHawks and Isotopes will conclude their series at 7:05 p.m. Friday at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Lefty Derek Lee is scheduled to start for Oklahoma with lefty Jason Vargas set to start for Albuquerque.
