
Early Inning Troubles Hurt Braves

Rome, GA - A four run first inning gave Greenville a lead that Rome couldn't overcome as the Drive went on to defeat the Braves 10-4 before a crowd of 4,820.
After one out, Danny Mars reached on an error and Rafael Devers walked. Andrew Benintendi (3) then cracked a home run to right giving Greenville a 3-0 lead. They added another run on Bryan Hudson's RBI single. Rome bounced back with two runs in the second on run scoring singles from Stephen Gaylor and Ryan Gebhardt for the 4-2 score. Greenville added three runs in the third and three in the sixth making it a 10-3 game. Rome scored a run in the eighth on Joseph Daris' RBI double for the 10-4 final.
Luis Ramos (3-3) earns the win for Greenville while Rome starter Chad Sobotka (1-5) gets the loss. Sobotka went two thirds of an inning allowing four hits and two earned runs.
