TULSA, OK- The Wichita Thunder lost 4-2 to the Tulsa Oilers at the BOK Center on Sunday evening.
Wichita scored first on Jim Jorgensen's power play shot from the point at 3:39 in the first period. It was the first home power play goal allowed by the Oilers this season. Tulsa tied it 37 seconds later when Marty Standish scored on a backhand shot to the left of Scott Campbell. Aaron Davis made it 2-1 Tulsa, beating Campbell to Campbell's right at 7:08.
Tulsa added two power play goals in the second to open up a 4-1 lead. Joel Hanson added the Thunder's second goal at 14:03 in the third period. Scott Campbell took the loss, stopping 24 of 28 shots. Wichita went 1 for 2 on the power play and 6 for 7 on the penalty kill. Jason Deleurme, Chris Kovalcik, and Hanson all earned fighting majors.
