Friday, October 27 Eagles 5 vs. Wichita Thunder 1
Colorado scored five unanswered goals Friday night in a 5-1 win over the Wichita Thunder at the Budweiser Events Center. It marked the Eagles first win in five tries over the Thunder dating back to last season. Sean Robertson and Chris Hartsburg each had one goal and two assists and Eagles' newly acquired goaltender Marco Emond saved 23 of 24 shots for Colorado's first win of the 2006-07 season.
Saturday, October 28 Eagles 6 vs. New Mexico Scorpions 3
The Eagles scored a franchise record of five power play goals in a 6-3 win over the New Mexico Scorpions Saturday night at the Budweiser Events Center. Greg Pankewicz and Scott Polaski each had two goals and goaltender Marco Emond stopped 33 of 36 shots in his second consecutive victory. Eight of the nine goals were power play goals as the Eagles finished 5-9 on the power play and New Mexico finished 3-12.

Friday, November 3 vs. Arizona Sundogs, 7:05 p.m. Radio: 107.9 The Bear
The Sundogs come to the Budweiser Events Center for the second time, but first time in the regular season. The Sundogs beat Colorado in both exhibition games at the BEC on October 13th and 14th. Arizona is in first place in the Southwest Division with a 3-1-0 record and they have not played a home game to date. The home opener for the Sundogs is on Friday, November 10 at the Prescott Valley

Inspiration Playground- The Colorado Eagles Foundation along with Hunter's Dream for a Cure donated a total of $200,000 to Inspiration Playground in a presentation at the Eagles game against the Wichita Thunder on Friday night. To date the Eagles Foundation and Hunter's Dream have donated $250,000 to the playground which will be the first of it's kind in Colorado, a universally-accessible playground for children of all abilities.
Potent Offense- Through three games this season, the Eagles are averaging five goals per game, the highest mark in the CHL. Colorado set a team record with 241 goals last season and a CHL-high average of 3.77 goals per game.
New Goalie - The Eagles acquired goaltender Marco Emond off of the waivers prior to this weekend's games. Emond started both games in net for the Eagles saving 56 of 60 shots for a .933 save percentage in two wins. The Eagles' goaltender has not allowed an even-strength goal in the two games and he had a shutout string of 90:57 from Wichita's goal in the first period to New Mexico's first goal in the second period Saturday night.
Over the Hump- The Eagles beat the Wichita Thunder for the first time in five tries Friday night. In the previous four games, all Thunder wins, the Eagles were outscored by Wichita 17-4. Colorado scored the final five goals of the game from five different players. The Eagles now have a 13-10-2 all-time mark against the Thunder.
Closers- In their history, the Colorado Eagles have been able to shutdown their opponents when holding a lead going into the third period. The Eagles are a remarkable 104-3-5 all-time when leading after two periods. This season the Eagles are 2-0-0 in that statistic.
Closing in on 500- Eagles captain and right wing Greg Pankewicz is just two goals shy of 500 for his career. The Eagles' all-time leading scorer celebrated his 1000th point on opening night against the Rocky Mountain Rage and now has 1006 points for his career. He leads the CHL with 6 goals this season.
Special Teams Top 3- The Eagles are in the top three in both their penalty kill and power play. The Eagles 26.7% power play is second in the league only behind the Arizona Sundogs and their penalty kill is third behind the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and Arizona Sundogs.
Dominating Second Period- The Eagles are outscoring their opponents 7-2 in the second period through three games this season and out shooting their opponents 41-20. No other team in the Central Hockey League has scored more goals in the second period.
