Friday, December 10 Eagles 3 @ New Mexico Scorpions 2

The Colorado Eagles overcame a two-goal deficit at the Tingley Coliseum to beat the New Mexico Scorpions, 3-2 and gained a much needed two points over the Northwest Division leaders. Colorado scored three unanswered goals included two goals in the first minute of the second period, and then held on to their tenth victory of the season. Eagles goaltender Tyler Weiman saved 25 shots, his counterpart Miguel Beaudry played just as well saving 24 of 27 shots including a couple of remarkable saves to keep the Scorpions in the game.

Saturday, December 11 Eagles 3 @ New Mexico Scorpions 1

Kevin Marsh scored two goals, and Tyler Weiman saved 26 of 27 shots as the Colorado Eagles beat the New Mexico Scorpions 3-1 at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Colorado scored a pair of four-on-four goals, and shutdown the league's top power play unit for the second consecutive night. The Eagles killed all 11 penalties in both games. Colorado (11-3-4) gained a much needed four points over the weekend and are now in second place in the Northwest Division tied with the Scorpions with 26 points each. With the victory, Colorado now has the highest winning percentage in the Central Hockey League at .722.

WEEK AHEAD

Wednesday, December 15 Eagles vs. Amarillo Gorillas 7:05 p.m. MST Radio-KKPL-99.9 The Point

The Eagles and Gorillas battle in the first of four meetings this season. The Eagles are 3-1 all-time against the Gorillas. Their only defeat was on January 3, 2004 in a 3-1 game in Amarillo. The Eagles have outscored the Gorillas 16-6 in the series and have not lost to Amarillo at the Budweiser Events Center. These teams face off three of their four games in December as Colorado will travel to Amarillo on December 21 and 29. Colorado (11-3-4) is currently tied for second place in the Northwest Division with 26 points, and Amarillo (9-8-2) is tied for third in the Southwest Division with 20 points.

Friday, December 17 Eagles vs. Tulsa Oilers 7:05 p.m. MST Radio-KKPL-99.9 The Point

The Eagles and Oilers meet for the first time since the teams played a couple exhibition games at the BEC in October. The Eagles went 5-2 against the Oilers last season. This is the first of four meetings in 2004-05, and three of the games will be held at the Budweiser Events Center where Colorado went 2-1 against the Oilers last season. The Oilers (9-11-1) are currently in fifth place in the Northeast Division with 19 points, although they have played better on the road this season and have a 6-3-1 record when not playing at the Maxwell Convention Center.

Saturday, December 18 Eagles @ Wichita Thunder 7:05 p.m. MST Radio-KKPL-99.9 The Point

This is a match up of two of the top two teams in the Northern Conference. This is the fourth meeting between the teams this season. Colorado holds the edge over the Thunder winning two of the three games. The Eagles have outscored Wichita 13-9 in three games and right wing Greg Pankewicz has had a point in nine of the Eagles 13 goals (3-6-9). The game is the first of a five-game road trip that ends in Amarillo on December 29. The Eagles are the only team in the CHL to not lose a road game in regulation (5-0-1) this season.

Streaks- Sean Robertson- Currently on a six-game scoring streak that started on November 27 against the Wichita Thunder. In six games he has scored two goals and five assists for a total of seven points.

Road Warriors- Colorado holds the best road record (5-0-1) in the Central Hockey League and have not lost a road game in regulation.

Penalty Killers- The Eagles continue to pace the league in killing penalties in which they have killed 91% of the penalties. Colorado has killed all but two penalties in their last six games going 39 for 41.

Pro Golf Discount Night – Pro Golf Discount will be giving away a set of golf clubs during an intermission contest, and will also be giving fans golf balls as they exit the arena.
