Duval, Hoschka, Hall and Johnson are invited to training camp

Montreal, February 14, 2005 - A few hours before the free agency period begins in the CFL, Montreal Alouettes' General Manager Jim Popp announced that four new players have been invited to the team's training camp.

Kicker Damon Duval (6', 193 lbs.) played in two college bowls and attended two NFL training camps, the Jacksonville Jaguars' in 2003 and the Atlanta Falcons' in 2004. Duval played in the Citrus Bowl in 2000 and in the Peach Bowl in 2001. He holds the record for the longest punt in Peach Bowl history with a 67-yarder. He is 24.

Free safety Corey Hall (6'4'', 210 lbs.) has three years of NFL experience. He started his pro career in 2001 when he played three games with the Atlanta Falcons. He then joined the New Orleans Saints' practice roster in 2002 and attended the Saints' training camp in 2003. He played his college ball at Appalachian State. He is 25.

Guard Mitch Hoschka (6'6'', 300 lbs.) was a starter with the University of Calgary Dinos since 2001. Before starting his career with the Dinos, he was a starter with the Alberta team in the Canadian junior championship in 1999. He is 24.

Tackle Joe Johnson (6'6'', 300 lbs.) attended the Alouettes' training camp last season. In 2002, he was also at the B.C. Lions' training camp before signing a contract with the Dallas Cowboys in 2003. He was then allocated to the NFL Europe's Scottish Claymores. He is 24.
