
Duffy's Heroics Propel BlueClaws to Late 6-1 Win

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The BlueClaws trailed 11-3 in the sixth inning before eventually bringing the tying run to the plate with two outs, but Hagerstown hung on for an 11-9 win Sunday afternoon.
Chris Duffy's hitting streak is now at 17 games after connecting on a three-run homer to the shrubbery in center field, and he finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBI.
The BlueClaws and Hagerstown will play the penultimate game of a five-game series Saturday night which will be the eighth game of a nine-game homestand. Lakewood will send Ramon Oviedo (1-6, 8.72) to the mound against Hagerstown's Taylor Hill (8-4, 4.02). After winning his BlueClaws debut, Oviedo has lost six consecutive starts.
