
Ducks skate past Bulldogs

HAMILTON, Ontario - Dwayne Zinger, Mike Green and Steve Brule each scored first-period goals, leading the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 4-1 victory over the Hamilton Bulldogs Wednesday at Copps Coliseum.
Ilja Bryzgalov made 28 saves and Brule added two assists for the Ducks, who halted a two-game slide and won for just the second time in their last nine games (2-6-1-0).
Ben Guite, the son of former WHA Cincinnati Stinger Pierre Guite, tallied a pair of assists in his debut for the Ducks, who finished a 10-game road trip 3-6-1-0.
Kevin Brown scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs, who had a two-game winning and four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1-0) snapped. Ty Conklin had 32 saves in the loss.
Cincinnati will play its next two games at home against Rochester Friday and Saturday at the Cincinnati Gardens.
