Long Island Ducks News Release
(Central Islip, N.Y., Sept. 4, 2013) - To coincide with playoff tickets going on sale to the general public, the Long Island Ducks today announced that they are teaming up with the March of Dimes to help raise money to support the organization. One dollar of every individual playoff ticket purchased online this year will be donated to the March of Dimes and their efforts in the areas of research, education and service for mothers and newborns. Fans purchasing playoff tickets online this year will be supporting TWO great causes - the March of Dimes and the Ducks' playoff run.
"We are excited to partner with the March of Dimes for our 'March to the Title' in 2013," says Ducks president and general manager Michael Pfaff. "As we defend our Atlantic League championship, we're pleased to also be helping a worthy cause."
Fans can secure their seats and need only type in the promo code "MARCH" at checkout to take part in this charitable opportunity. Ticket prices for the Atlantic League Playoffs will remain the same as during the regular season. Box seats (200 level) are available for just $11.00 while field box seats (100 level) are $12.00 and club level seats (400 level) are $15.00. Anyone purchasing tickets online will be automatically refunded should any postseason games not be played.
"We are proud to partner with the Long Island Ducks as they make a run to defend their title," says Joe Jankowski, Community Director at the March of Dimes. "But most importantly, every person participating in this effort is now a champion in their own right. A champion for the babies of Long Island."
Upon securing a playoff berth, the Ducks will host Games One and Two of the best-of-five Liberty Division Championship Series against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs on Wednesday, September 18 and Thursday, September 19. Should they advance, the Ducks will host Games One and Two of the best-of-five Atlantic League Championship Series on Wednesday, September 25 and Thursday, September 26. All four games are slated to begin at 6:35 p.m.
In addition, the Ducks have teamed up with News 12 to present "Title Towel" giveaways for all four potential playoff games. The first 1,000 fans in attendance at each game will receive a Long Island Ducks playoff "Title Towel" courtesy of News 12 and News 12 Traffic and Weather.
Season ticket and luxury suite holders already have their playoff tickets included as part of their ticket package. 10-game mini plan holders should have already received an order form in the mail with an option to purchase all four potential playoff games at the $9 discounted rate (25% off the box office price). If you are a mini plan holder and have not received an order form, please call the Ducks ticket office at (631) 940-3825.
Group ticket pricing for the playoffs will remain the same as during the regular season. Birthday party packages, luxury suites, pre-game and in-game picnics and Smokin' Al's party deck outings are all available for postseason games.
