CINCINNATI, Ohio - Andrew Peters and Geoff Peters each had a goal and an assist to lead the Rochester Americans to a 4-2 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Friday at the Cincinnati Gardens.
Chris Taylor and Jaroslav Kristek also scored for the Americans, who won their second straight game and improved to 5-3-0-0 in their last eight. Rochester is now one point behind Cincinnati for ninth place in the Western Conference playoff race.
Josh DeWolf and Steve Brule each posted a goal for the Ducks, who have lost three of their last four games and are 3-7-1-0 in their last 11.
Tom Askey, making his fifth straight start, made 26 saves against his former team to pick up his 12th victory of the season.
Ilja Bryzgalov made 30 saves before being pulled for Jason Elliott after the Americans fourth goal. Elliott stopped all three shots he faced in 15:09 of action.
The Ducks and Americans complete a two-game series at 7:35 p.m. at the Cincinnati Gardens Saturday.
