Ducks Call up Josh Manson

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Josh Manson from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.

Manson, 23, is called upon by Anaheim for the first time in his young professional career. With the 160th pick, the Ducks selected Manson in the sixth round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He played three seasons at Northeastern University before officially starting his professional career last season with Norfolk. In nine games of the 2013-14 regular season, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound blueliner registered one goal and 26 penalty minutes along with a plus-1 rating. He skated in all 10 of the Admirals' 2014 Calder Cup Playoff games and scored one goal.

For his career, Manson has two goals, one assist, a minus-4 rating, and 36 penalty minutes in a combined 26 regular season and playoff games in the AHL.

Norfolk hosts the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Halloween this coming Friday at 7:30 p.m. as part of the "Zombie A-Hockey-Lypse" Night at Scope.
