
Blue Jackets Recall Anton Forsberg, Falcons Recall Scott Munroe

Springfield, Mass. - The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky on Injured Reserve and added goaltender Anton Forsberg to the roster on emergency recall from the American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Additionally, the Springfield Falcons have recalled goaltender Scott Munroe from the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL, Falcons Director of Hockey Operations Bruce Landon announced.
Bobrovsky suffered a fractured finger when he was struck by a puck in practice on Monday and is expected to miss one to two weeks. He is 4-4-0 with a 2.81 goals-against average and .908 save percentage in eight games this season. The 2013 Vezina Trophy winner has appeared in 187 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers, going 99-58-21 with a 2.47 goals-against average, .918 save percentage and nine shutouts. The 26-year-old native of Novokuznetsk, Russia went 32-20-5 with a 2.38 goals-against average, .923 save percentage and five shutouts in 2013-14.
Forsberg, 21, did not play in two games while on recall to the Blue Jackets from Oct. 19 to Oct. 26. He has gone 1-2-0 with a 2.36 goals-against average and .921 save percentage in three games with Springfield this season, stopping 82-of-89 shots faced. He is 4-2-0 with a 1.69 goals-against average and .940 save percentage in seven career AHL games since making his North American professional debut with the Falcons late in the 2013-14 season.
Munroe, 32, appeared in one game with the Falcons while on recall from Oct. 20 to Oct. 27. He posted a 3.00 goals-against average and a .857 save percentage, stopping 18 of 21 shots in his first Falcons win against the Norfolk Admirals. Munroe has also appeared in one game with the Wings this season, recording a 2.00 goals-against average and .882 save percentage, turning away 15 of 17 shots in an Oct. 18 victory against the Elmira Jackals.
The 5-foot-10, 176-pound goaltender spent the 2013-14 season with the Vaxjo Lakers of the Swedish Hockey League. In 36 regular season games, Munroe accumulated a 19-16-0 record and posted three shutouts to go along with a 2.06 goals-against average and .912 save percentage. The Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan native has appeared in a career total of 243 American Hockey League regular season contests, amassing a 114-90-14 record with 19 shutouts.
