Capitals Recall Wilson from Hershey; Re-Assign Brown to Hershey

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals have recalled right wing Tom Wilson from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL) and re-assigned right wing Chris Brown to Hershey, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today.
Wilson, who missed the Capitals' first five games this season with a lower-body injury, appeared in two games with Hershey. The 6'4", 207-pound right wing registered 10 points (three goals, seven assists) and 151 penalty minutes in 82 games with the Capitals last season. Wilson, 20, finished the 2013-14 season ranked seventh in the NHL in penalty minutes and third among NHL rookies and Washington skaters in hits (197). The Toronto native was one of three NHL rookies to appear in all 82 games last season (Nathan MacKinnon, Tyler Johnson).
Brown, 23, scored one goal in three games with Washington this season. The 6'2", 215-pound right wing has earned three points (two goals, one assist) in 20 career NHL games. Brown appeared in 12 games with Hershey last season, earning five points (two goals, three assists) and two penalty minutes. The Flower Mound, Texas, native has tallied 87 points (45 goals, 42 assists) in 131 career AHL games.
