Ducks Announce Opening Day Roster

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks released their Opening-Day roster for the 2002-2003 American Hockey League season on Thursday, which includes two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 12 forwards.

All 21 players on the Mighty Ducks Opening-Day roster have been assigned by the NHL Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

Cincinnati opens the 2002-2003 regular-season Saturday in Chicago against the defending Calder Cup champion Wolves at 8:00 p.m. at Allstate Arena.

The Mighty Ducks Opening-Day roster includes six rookies (Gornick; Hedstrom; Martensson; Pecker; Popovic; Tabacek), five returning players (Brigley; Bryzgalov; Guite; Podhradsky; J. Smith) and 1,243 games of NHL experience (Belanger, 10; Brigley, 19; Bryzgalov, 1; Commodore, 57; Damphousse, 6; O'Sullivan, 60; Pahlsson, 156; Reirden, 176; N.
