Hartford, October 10, 2002 -- The Hartford Wolf Pack have some extra fun planned for the month of October, as they kick off their sixth season of play at the Hartford Civic Center.

It all begins at the Pack's 2002-03 home opener Saturday, October 19 vs. the Manchester Monarchs (7:00 faceoff). In addition to the gala opening ceremonies, complete with player introductions and plenty of pyrotechnics, all fans at the game will receive a free schedule magnet, courtesy of Hilton Hartford.

On Sunday, October 27, the Wolf Pack host divisional rival Albany at the Civic Center in a 4:00 game. That afternoon will be the Pack's first-ever "Kids' Opening Day". The first 1,000 kids 12 and under to enter the game will receive a free Wolf Pack frosty mug, a coupon for a free quart of Brigham's Ice Cream, and a voucher for a free children's ticket to the Pack's home game of Wednesday, October 30 vs. Manitoba (7:00). That October 30 game will be the Wolf Pack's "Trick or Treat Night".
