Saint John, NB – The Saint John Flames Hockey Club announced today that defenceman Ian Manzano has been released from the Club's training camp roster. Manzano will join the Flames East Coast Hockey League affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs, in Dayton, Ohio where the Chiefs open their 15th East Coast Hockey League campaign on Friday against the Dayton Bombers.

The roster move brings the total number of players in Saint John's training camp down to 24.

The Saint John Flames open the 2002-03 American Hockey League season at Harbour Station on Friday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this game and all Flames October and November home games are currently available at the Harbour Station Box Office, the Imperial Theatre Box Office, selected Irving locations (Main Street West, Champlain Heights, Millidgeville, Marr Road, Hampton and Grand Bay), and Charge-by-Phone at 657-1234 or 1-800-267-2800. Fans are asked to be in their seats at 7:15 p.m. for the opening-night ceremony.

The 2002-03 season marks the Saint John Flames' tenth as a member of the AHL and as the primary development organization of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames.
