
Drive Defeat Tourists

Greenville Drive News Release
Greenville, SC - After struggling on the road, The Greenville Drive came out on top tonight defeating the Asheville Tourists 11-10.
Casey Cobb tossed 2.0 innings to secure the win, and Jose Betances suffered the loss.
The game looked to be in favor of the Tourists who came out hot early scoring six runs, but the Drive battled back in the fifth inning. The inning began with a Nicholas Northcut home run followed by Nick Yorke's RBI. Stephen Scott also found the dish off the bat of Tyler McDonough.
The bats remained hot for Greenville, who scored at least one run in the last five frames. The sixth brought four runs for the Drive. Stephen Scott's RBI double brought Alex Binelas, Nicholas Northcut, and Gilberto Jimenez home. Scott also came home thanks to Nick Yorke.
The one run in the seventh inning came from Gilberto Jimenez RBI. In the eighth, McDonough scored on a wild pitch, and the Drive added two insurance runs in the ninth.
The last game of the series is tomorrow at 1:05.
