MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have sent forward Oscar Moller to Manchester for a conditioning assignment and assigned defenseman Davis Drewiske to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Moller, 20, has skated in one game with the Kings (February 12 vs. Calgary) since returning from an injury (fractured clavicle) that he suffered at the 2009 World Junior Championships, which were held in Ottawa from December 26 to January 5. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden, has played in 31 games with the Kings this season, his first in the NHL, and has 13 points (6-7=13) and 14 penalty minutes. Moller was Team Sweden's captain at the World Junior Championships and he recorded four points (1-3=4), four penalty minutes and 23 shots on goal in six tournament games as the Swedes went 5-1 and earned a silver medal for the second consecutive year. He was drafted by the Kings in the second round (52nd overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Moller played in two playoff games with the Monarchs during the 2008 Calder Cup playoffs and recorded one assist. He will wear No. 10 for the Monarchs.

Drewiske, 24, has zero points, two penalty minutes and plus-1 rating in five games with the Kings this season. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound native of Hudson, Wisconsin, made his Kings/NHL debut at Ottawa on February 3. In addition, the rookie defenseman has one goal and 11 points (1-10=11) in 46 games with the Monarchs, and at the time of his recall (February 2), he was tied for second on the Monarchs with a plus-4 rating and his 63 penalty minutes ranked third overall on the team. The Kings signed Drewiske as an unrestricted free agent on April 1, 2008.

The Monarchs travel south for a 5:00 p.m. showdown with the Albany River Rats at the Times Union Center on Monday, February 16.
