
Dream Signs Free Agent Kasha Terry

Atlanta, June 23, 2008- The Atlanta Dream announced today that the team has signed free agent forward/center Kasha Terry. Terry spent the last three seasons with the Indiana Fever before being waived this year. She was originally selected by Indiana in the second round of the 2006 WNBA draft with the 26th overall pick.
Terry, a 6-3 forward/center, saw action in two games this season for the Fever before being waived on May 22, 2008. Last season, she appeared in nine games off the bench for an Indiana team that made it to the Eastern Conference Finals during the 2007 WNBA playoffs.
A native of Douglasville, Georgia, Terry played collegiately at Georgia Tech. During her four years with the Yellow Jackets, Terry averaged 5.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. She finished her career second in the school record books for blocked shots and ninth in the Atlantic Coast Conference with 195 blocked shots. Terry earned honorable-mention ACC All-Rookie honors in 2003 and was named to the All-ACC Conference Tournament team in 2005.
The Dream tipped off their inaugural season at Philips Arena with back-to-back sellouts on May 23 and May 25, 2008. The team was officially announced as the 14th team in the WNBA on October 17, 2007. The Dream are members of the WNBA's Eastern conference which also includes the Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun, Detroit Shock, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty and Washington Mystics.
