Dayton Dragons News Release
DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons will wear special Stars & Stripes jerseys as part of Hometown Heroes American Celebration Night, presented by Dayton Development Coalition, Leidos, and the Dragons, on Saturday, August 18 at Fifth Third Field. Jerseys worn by each of the Dragons 25 players and four coaches will be auctioned following the game with proceeds to benefit the First Sergeants Council. Fans can participate in the jersey auction following the game at www.daytondragons.com/jersey. The Dragons host the Bowling Green Hot Rods at 7:00 p.m.
The First Sergeants Council, housed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, funds and operates "Operation Warm Heart." This program assists Airmen and their families (Active Duty Air Force, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and civilians). Airmen receive financial help in emergency family situations and in random acts of kindness.
