DAYTON, OHIO-Dayton Dragons games on Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23 will be televised from Fifth Third Field on WHIO Digital Channel 7.2 (channel 23 and digital channel 372 on most Time Warner Cable systems in the Miami Valley). The games are available to more than 500,000 households.

Grant Griesser, former Assistant Director of Player Development for the Cincinnati Reds, will serve as the guest commentator on Thursday. On Friday, Milwaukee Brewers professional scout Brad Del Barba, a former executive with the Reds, will be the commentator.

Sponsors for Dragons television broadcasts include Dayton Power & Light, IUE-CWA, Smoothie King, Alliance for Consumer Education, Greater Ohio Virtual School, Gamin' Ride, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cohen Recycling, IWORKS, Coldwell Banker Heritage Realtors, Courtyard by Marriott Dayton South, and Voss Auto.

Griesser has been a part of Dragons telecasts for the last seven seasons. He brings a unique perspective to the broadcasts based on a broad range of experience in baseball. Griesser played Minor League Baseball in the Kansas City Royals organization, later served as General Manager of the Vero Beach Dodgers in the Florida State League, and worked for the Reds in player development for six seasons, making many visits to Fifth Third Field during that time. He played college baseball at Miami University.

Del Barba is in his 28th year as a scout. He has been with the Brewers for 11 years after 11 years with the Marlins and six years with the Reds. He was the Reds Coordinator of Scouting and Player Development in the early 1990's after serving as the team's Traveling Secretary. He is also a baseball writer and served as editor of the baseball publication, At the Yard, for three years.

The Dragons will televise 25 games from Fifth Third Field this season. The telecasts are produced by the Dragons' in-house production crew. Each telecast will feature a special guest commentator who will work with Dragons play-by-play announcer Tom Nichols. Among those who have appeared on are scheduled to appear on telecasts are:

Hal McCoy, Hall-of-fame baseball writer

Paul Keels, Ohio State University broadcaster

Mike Hartsock, WHIO TV Sports Director

Mike Vander Woude, the voice of the Dragons from 2000-2007
