Lights Go out in Quad Cities

(Davenport-IA)- The series finale between the Burlington Bees and the Quad Cities River Bandits was suspended due to a power outage in the seventh inning, tied at four.

The Bees opened that ballgame with a two run first inning. Kody Eaves led off the game with a triple and came around to score on an Exicardo Cayones double. Eric Aguilera capped off the two run frame with a single to left scoring Cayones from second making it a 2-0 game.

Burlington doubled their lead in the third when Eric Aguilera tripled off the wall in left center scoring both Eixcardo Cayones and Mike Fish extending the Bees' lead to 4-0.

Ronnie Mitchell put Quad Cities on the board in the third with his second home run of the season.

The River Bandits pulled to within a pair two in the fourth inning when Brett Phillips tripled into left center, scoring Brian Holberton making the score 4-2.

Quad Cities tied the game at four with a pair of runs in the sixth inning before the power went out at Modern Woodman Park.

The game will be resumed at later date to be announced.

The Bees return home to face the Peoria Chiefs on Thursday night at 7:00 PM. Clint Sharp makes the start for the Bees against Rob Kamminsky of Peoria.
