Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Burlington Bees (affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels) in the first game of a three-game series.
Streaks: The Dragons have won four of their last six games after losing the previous six. The Dragons have won back-to-back series for the first time in 2019. They won two-of-three at Cedar Rapids Friday-Sunday and two-of-three vs. Clinton Monday-Wednesday.
Last Game: Wednesday: Dayton 9, Clinton 5. The Dragons exploded for seven runs in the fifth inning and overcame an early 3-0 deficit. In the fifth, Bren Spillane had a two-run home run, Jay Schuyler added a two-run double, and Mariel Bautista had a two-run single. Dragons starting pitcher Ricky Salinas earned the win and became the first Dayton pitcher this season to strikeout 10 in a game. The Dragons established season highs for most runs in an inning (7 in the 5th), largest comeback to win (trailed by 3), and most strikeouts by Dayton pitchers (16).
