The City of Dayton Fireworks show will begin at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and will be viewable from certain vantage points in Fifth Third Field as well as the main plaza outside the ballpark. The fireworks will be launched from the RiverScape area but are not in conjunction with the Dragons.
The Dragons are proud to host the fourth Home Run for Life in 2019, presented by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Five-year-old Levin Suttles will be honored during the game against Bowling Green and will run the bases in front of a sold-out Fifth Third Field crowd in recognition of his perseverance through a life-changing battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Wednesday is the fourth date for CareSource's Veteran Salute Program at Fifth Third Field. Gene Camp served in Vietnam and was severely injured on his final patrol before returning home. CareSource and the Dayton Dragons are proud to recognize Mr. Camp, who was awarded three Purple Hearts during his 17 years of service, with an in-game presentation.
Winning Wednesday is back at Fifth Third Field! The first thousand fans 18+ will get a free Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket upon entering the ballpark. Good luck!

The national anthem will be performed by Technical Sergeant (Ret.) Felita LaRock and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will serve as the Honor Guard. LaRock will also be performing God Bless America during the seventh inning.
Dragons On The Field
The Dragons finished the month of June with a 14-11 overall record that includes a season-high 10-game winning streak over the first two weeks of the month. The team enjoyed a number of standout performances throughout the month. On the mound, right-hander Ricky Salinas led the starters with a 1.03 ERA in 5 starts spanning 26.1 innings. He struck out 22 batters and opponents hit just .181 against him. In the bullpen, Connor Bennett picked up two wins and six saves in June, not allowing a run to score against him. Reliever Matt Pidich held a 2.63 ERA in seven appearances, striking out 16 and walking four while keeping opponents hitting .137 off him. At the plate, Brian Rey hit .297 in 19 games, connecting on two home runs and driving in 14 runs. Michael Siani was right behind Rey with a .289 average, hitting two home runs and collecting 10 RBIs while stealing 12 bases.
The Dragons have six players on Baseball America's Top 30 Reds Prospects list. This group is led by the Reds' fourth-round draft pick in the 2018 draft, Michael Siani. Siani is the eighth-rated prospect in the organization after being selected out of high school in Philadelphia. Outfielder Mariel Bautista (#16 prospect) has shown an advanced approach at the plate in his time in the Reds system. Other top prospects on the Dragons roster include infielders Juan Martinez (#22) and Bren Spillane (#30), the latter was the 2018 Big 10 Player of the Year at Illinois before being chosen in the third round. Right-handers Lyon Richardson (#17) and James Marinan (#19) are both expected to make significant impacts on the mound this season for the Dragons.
Former Dragons player and hitting coach Luis Bolivar returns for his third year as manager. Former major leaguer Kevin Mahar returns for his third season as bench coach while former major league pitcher Seth Etherton is back for his second year as pitching coach. Mike Devereaux, a 12-year MLB veteran, joins Bolivar's staff as hitting coach after spending last season in that role with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, Double-A affiliate of the Reds at that time.
