Bowling Green broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning against Lansing starter Troy Watson. With one out, Seaver Whalen singled to right to extend his hit streak to eight-games, but Russ Olive grounded into a fielder's choice for the second out of the inning. Conine's RBI single cut the Hot Rods lead to three with a 4-1 score. The Lugnuts brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth but but Joel Peguero struck out back-to-back hitters to close out the win, Bowling Green's seventh straight.
