Dayton, Ohio-Taylor Harbin drilled a grand slam home run and added an RBI double as the South Bend Silver Hawks defeated the Dayton Dragons 9-1 to complete a sweep of the four game series. The Dragons fell to 26-35 with the loss.

Harbin's grand slam was part of a five-run fourth inning as the Silver Hawks opened a commanding 7-1 lead.

South Bend scored once in the top of the first inning before the Dragons tied the game in the second on a lead-off home run by Anthony Gressick, his first of the year, to make it 1-1.

But South Bend jumped ahead again in the third on Derrick Walker's run-scoring double to make it 2-1.

Aaron Hanke led off the Silver Hawks fourth with a solo home run, his sixth homer of the year, to make it 3-1. After the next three men reached base, Dragons starting pitcher Jamie Arneson (0-3) was lifted in favor of reliever Juan Rafael. But Harbin, the first batter to face Rafael, greeted the new pitcher with a home run to left to make it a 7-1 game. The Silver Hawks tacked on two more runs in the seventh to close out the scoring.

The Dragons finished the game with seven hits with all but one coming in the first four innings. Angel Cabrera had two singles and a walk.

Arneson suffered the loss, allowing four hits and six earned runs in three and one-third innings. He walked seven and struck out four.

The Dragons play at Fort Wayne on Monday at 7:00 p.m. (WING 1410 AM). Matt Klinker (3-3, 3.10) will start for Dayton
