Fort Wayne, Ind.-Shane Buschini delivered an infield single to drive in a run and break a 3-3 tie with two outs in the sixth inning and added a two-run single in the eighth to lead the Fort Wayne Wizards to a 6-3 victory over the Dayton Dragons in the completion of a suspended game on Saturday night.

The game began on Friday night as Fort Wayne jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the third inning when lightning and heavy rain forced a suspension of the contest. When it resumed on Saturday, the Dragons tied the game in the fifth inning. Devin Mesoraco singled, went to third on Anthony Gressick's hit to center, and scored on Zack Cozart's sacrifice fly to right field to make it 2-2.

The Dragons picked up the lead in the sixth when Logan Parker walked with one out, went to second when Mesoraco was hit by a pitch, and scored on Michael McKennon's single to right to make it 3-2.

But the Wizards scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to regain the lead. Dragons reliever Jeremy Horst (1-2) issued a lead-off walk to Felix Carrasco and Justin Baum double to left to move Carrasco to third. Carrasco scored on an infield ground out, and Baum scored from third when Buschini hit a ground ball up the middle that glanced off the glove of pitcher Jeff Jeffords for an infield single.

The Wizards added two more in the eighth to close out the scoring.

Game two of the twinbill followed.

The Dragons return home Sunday to host West Michigan at 4:00 p.m. (WING 1410 AM). Josh Ravin (1-1, 3.60) will start for Dayton.
