Dragons Announce Roster Transactions for Wednesday

DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster transactions today:

Outfielder Jon Matthews has been placed on the disabled list with a sprained wrist.

Infielder Robert Ramirez has been transferred to Dayton from Bakersfield.

Infielder Jack Hannahan, who had been with the Dragons on a Major League injury rehabilitation assignment, is no longer with the Dayton club.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

Matthews has appeared in 37 games for the Dragons this season, batting .326 with one home run and 12 runs batted in.

Ramirez did not appear in a game with Bakersfield. He has played in six games this season with the AZL Reds, batting .238 with no home runs and six runs batted in. He played in 48 games for the Dragons in 2013, batting .222 with two home runs and 20 RBI.

Hannihan played in four games for the Dragons, batting .333 (4 for 12) with one RBI.

The Dragons begin a six-game road trip tonight in Beloit, Wisconsin against the Beloit Snappers at 8:00 p.m. EDT.
