Dragons Announce Roster Changes

DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster changes, effective May 27:

Catcher/first baseman Nick O'Shea has been promoted from Dayton to Bakersfield (Advanced-A, California League).

Catcher Brandon Dailey has been promoted to Dayton from the Cincinnati Reds extended spring training camp in Goodyear, Arizona.

The Dragons roster currently stands at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

O'Shea has appeared in 16 games for the Dragons this season, batting .138 with three home runs and 11 runs batted in.

Dailey has spent all of 2013 in the Reds extended spring training camp as he makes a conversion from middle infielder to catcher. In 2012, Dailey split the season between Dayton and Billings. At Billings, he batted .308 with five home runs and 24 RBI in 46 games. At Dayton, he batted .191 with one home run and seven RBI in 26 games.

The Dragons play at the Great Lakes Loons on Monday at 3:05 p.m. before returning to Fifth Third Field in Dayton to open a seven-game homestand on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. against the South Bend Silver Hawks.
