Dragons Add Former Sinclair CC Pitcher

The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster changes today:

Right-handed pitcher Patrick McGuff has been acquired from the Evansville Otters of the independent Frontier League and assigned to the Dayton roster.

Right-handed pitcher Tyler Mondile has been placed on the suspended list.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

McGuff, from Hamilton, Ohio, played at Sinclair Community College for two seasons in 2013-14 before transferring to Morehead State University for the 2015-16 seasons. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2016 and spent two seasons in the Twins organization. He had a good year in the Midwest League with Cedar Rapids in 2017, going 3-2 with a 2.49 earned run average in 27 games. McGuff made five starts with Evansville this season, going 3-1 with a 1.55 ERA.
