After a big win last night, the Down East Wood Ducks (23-16) look to keep the momentum going as they continue their series with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (10-29) today at 6:00 p.m. The Wood Ducks will send RHP Nick Krauth (0-1, 2.36) and Kannapolis will counter with LHP Bailey Horn (0-2, 2.84)

WOOD DUCKS OFFENSE EXPLODES IN WIN vs. KANNAPOLIS: After falling in the first three games, the Down East Wood Ducks stormed back with a 15-2 win over the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, Friday night. The team set season-highs with 15 runs and 19 hits., with 11 extra-base hits.
ANNOUNCING THEIR PRESENCE WITH AUTHORITY: After losing three straight games against the Cannon Ballers with three lead-surrendered losses, the Down East Wood Ducks came out swingin' on Friday. Out of the starting nine, eight batters tallied at least one hit, six tallied a multi-hit game and three had multiple RBIs. The 15 runs and 19 hits set a season-high for the Woodies in both categories.
SWIPER KEEP SWIPING!: Being fast and loose on the base paths has been the secret to their success. When the Wood Ducks steal a base they are 21-10 on the season. Currently, the Wood Ducks are fifth in all of MiLB with 81 stolen bases on the season. Jayce Easley (17) and Evan Carter (12) lead the way for the Wood Ducks as their two primary and best base stealers.
EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM: When the Woodies score first, they are 20-5. They are outscoring opponents 177 - 146 and 47 - 33 in the first two innings. Last night, Down East opened the scoring against Kannapolis. The Wood Ducks improved to 6-2 at home when they score first.
RIPPIN' RICUMSTRICT: Obie Ricumstrict has been heating up throughout this Kannapolis series. He started out 2-for-8 through the first two games (6/15-6/16) Since Thursday, Ricumstrict is 5-for-9 with a homerun and five RBIs.
NEW KID ON THE BLOCK: Alejandro Osuna has made an immediate impact with the Woodies since being added to the roster on 6/15. In three games, Osuna is 5-11 (.455) with three doubles and four RBIs.
