Dolezel named named Arena Football League's Player of the Week

Las Vegas, NV, March 2, 2004 – Las Vegas Gladiators' quarterback Clint Dolezel has been named the Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in leading the Gladiators to a 50-30 win over the New Orleans VooDoo on Sunday in Las Vegas.

Dolezel, who threw the 500th touchdown of his career in the victory, completed 22 of 32 passes for 224 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. He also ran for two scores in the Gladiators win.

An eight-year veteran of the Arena Football League, this is the ninth time Dolezel has garnered AFL Player of the Week honors.

For the season, Dolezel is the number two-rated quarterback in the AFL. He has completed 85 of 120 passes for 964 yards and 21 touchdowns while throwing only two interceptions. He has also rushed for three additional scores.

The Gladiators go back on the road this week to take on the Georgia Force on Sunday, March 7 at 9:00 AM at The Arena at Gwinnett Center. The game will be televised on NBC.
