Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 2) -- The Predators waived wide receiver/linebacker George Williams on Tuesday. Considered a long-shot to make the Predators roster, Williams earned a spot with a strong pre-season camp and played in the team's first two games, where he caught two passes for 20 yards. He was inactive for last week's game with Carolina.

The strong play of Orlando rookies Lin-J Shell and Michael Brown led to the decision to release Williams. In other news, offensive specialist Travis McGriff continued to be held out of practice on Tuesday with a hamstring injury and remains questionable for Saturday's game with Indiana.
