
Orlando Predators Announce Open Tryouts for 2017 Season

ORLANDO- The Orlando Predators will hold open player tryouts on Saturday, October 22 at 9:00 a.m. on Thunder Field, located at 400 S Rio Grande Ave directly southeast of Camping World Stadium. Predators Head Coach Rob Keefe and General Manager of Football Operations Michael DiJulio will be on hand to evaluate players in attendance.
Participants will be tested in the 40-yard dash and short shuttle, with position-specific drills to follow. Players must be prepared upon arrival with appropriate workout gear and cleats/footwear. Testing will take place on grass. The tryout is non-contact and pads/helmet will not be necessary. Kickers will not be evaluated at the tryout. All other positions will be evaluated and are encouraged to participate. No prior football experience is required.
All participants can pre-register at a discount rate using a credit card on the team's official website. Online pre-registration ends at noon on Friday, October 21. The cost of the tryout is $60 for those who pre-register online and $80 on the day of the tryout by cash, credit card, or money order only. Personal checks will not be accepted. On the day of the tryout, registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. All tryout participants will also receive an Orlando Predators workout t-shirt.
The Orlando Predators have found countless players at open tryouts, including defensive back Nick Taylor. Taylor went on to earn a starting role as a rookie with the Predators before signing a contract with the Ottawa REDBLACKS of the Canadian Football League in 2016.
The tryout is completely open to the public and fans are encouraged to attend. All fees are non-refundable. Tryout participants must be 18 years or older and must bring a valid form of I.D. All players are required to sign a waiver and release form on the day of the tryout prior to participation.
