
Dolan Nets First Pro Goal in OT Loss to Nailers

North Charleston, SC -Forward Sean Dolan recorded his first professional goal as the South Carolina Stingrays (0-2) fell to the Wheeling Nailers (2-0) 2-1 in overtime in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals at the North Charleston Coliseum Wednesday evening. The Nailers lead the best-of-five series 2-0.
Nailers forward Paul Crowder kicked off the scoring on the power play at 15:41 of the first period lifting a shot over the right pad of Stingrays goaltender Todd Ford. Forwards Joey Haddad and Doug Rogers earned assists.
Dolan tied the game at 14:20 of the middle stanza beating Nailers keeper Peter Delmas under the glove from the bottom of the right-wing circle. Forward Ryan Del Monte and defenseman Joe Finley registered assists.
For the second straight night, the contest was decided in overtime with Nailers defenseman Kyle Bushee providing the game-winning marker on the power play at 7:03 from forwards Tim Crowder and Tyler Murovich.
Delmas grabbed the victory stopping 27 of 28 Stingrays shots. Ford kicked away 31 of 33 Nailers chances in the loss. The Nailers finished 2-for-4 on the power play while the Stingrays went 0-for-3.
