Alaska's Goldie Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Player of the Month for March

PRINCETON, N.J - Alaska Aces right wing Wes Goldie is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Player of the Month for March. Goldie scored 26 points (14g-12a) and was a +16 in 15 games during March, helping lead the Aces to a 13-2-0 record for the month as the squad captured the Mountain Division title and the Brabham Cup as ECHL regular-season champions.

The 32 year old scored at least one point in all 15 games during the month, on his way to ending the regular season on an ECHL season-high 18-game scoring streak (16g-13a). He matched his season best with four points (2g-2a) in a 6-1 win over Victoria on March 11 and had three points (2g-1a) in a 5-3 victory against the Salmon Kings on March 9. Goldie had six additional games in the month where he notched two points.

Goldie, who named to the All-ECHL First-Team last week, led the ECHL with 46 goals in the regular season, becoming the first player in league history to score at least 40 goals in five consecutive seasons. He ended the season second in the league with 83 points and was fourth in plus-minus at +25.

A native of London, Ontario, Goldie has 544 points (335g-209a) in 627 regular-season games with Pee Dee, Victoria and Alaska. He ranks second in league history in games played and goals and is 17th in points. Goldie has 56 points (32g-24a) in 61 Kelly Cup Playoffs games.
