The MoonDogs looked to push the previous night's outcome out of their minds with a thrilling series against the Mud Puppies.
Mack Crowley took the mound for the MoonDogs ready to show the home crowd what he has been working on over his last few outings on the road. Crowley would hold the Mud Puppies off the board throwing a no hitter into the 4th inning.
The MoonDogs bats would give Crowley plenty of wiggle room starting in the second inning. Kai Roberts and Brendan Hord would hit back-to-back doubles sending in a combined three runs putting the run total to four for the inning.
The MoonDogs would not take their foot off the gas exploding for five runs. Brody Harding would triple sending Ari Armas in for the first run of the inning. Harding would score on an E3 giving the MoonDogs a commanding lead. The hottest MoonDog of the week would continue to burn red hot as Asher Bradd would hit his second home run of the year bringing in the final three runs of the inning.
The Puppies would try to respond when they ended the no hitter getting two across the plate bringing the score to 9-2.
The MoonDogs did not take kindly to the runs scored on Crowley and would make the Puppies pay. Ty Rumsey would get on base with a single before Bradd would send one flying down the foul line in bounds. Bradd would give it all he had as he would gun out an in the park home run for his second home run of the game. Kip Fougerousse would join in on the fun sending Roberts home with a well-placed single. Jake Duer would be the last MoonDog of the inning to get some runs across as he would drive in two more giving the MoonDogs a commanding 14-2 lead.
The Game would slow down after the fifth inning with the Dogs scoring the last two runs of the game in the seventh for the final score of 16-2.
The MoonDogs and Mud Puppies face off again tomorrow at 5:05 P.M.
