LINCOLN, Nebraska - Forrestt Allday doubled, walked twice and scored two runs, but a rally fell short in Lincoln's 7-6 loss to the Sioux City Explorers at Haymarket Park on Tuesday night.

The 'Dogs left the bases loaded in the 7th and Sioux City (21-11) stretched Matt Pobereyko for a four-out save - his league-best 11th - to hand Lincoln a fourth consecutive one-run loss.

The 'Dogs got 2.1 scoreless innings from Jason Seever and 2.0 scoreless from Josh Norwood, but Carson Lance allowed seven runs - six earned - over 4.2 innings and fell to 1-3 this year.

Ryan Long had two singles and a walk, and Edgar Corcino extended his hitting streak to a season-high seven games.

Lincoln fell behind on the first of two solo homers from Jose Sermo in the 1st, but scored on a fielder's choice in the 2nd and added two more in the 3rd. The X's scored three times in the 4th and three more in the 5th to take a 7-3 lead.

Sioux City started Patrick Ledet, who allowed five runs over five innings before exiting with an injury. Max Kuhns allowed a run over one inning and Nate Gercken struck out three with two walks and a hit over 1.2 innings.

The 'Dogs have lost four straight for the first time this season and are 0-7 against Sioux City in 2021.
