Lincoln Saltdogs News Release
FARGO, North Dakota - The Lincoln Saltdogs and Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks were suspended after rain rendered the field unplayable following three scoreless innings in the series finale on Sunday afternoon.
LHP Abdallah Aris had just worked around a bases-loaded, one-out jam to keep the game scoreless before heavy rain hit between the third and fourth innings.
It's the first time the Saltdogs have had a weather delay after a game had begun. The 'Dogs and RedHawks were delayed 42 minutes before first pitch on May 25th.
The teams will resume the game when the Saltdogs return to Newman Outdoor Field for a three-game series August 13th-15th. Following the conclusion of the regulation nine innings, the teams will proceed with a seven-inning game in the second contest.
The 'Dogs now head to Kansas City for a three-game series with the Kansas City Monarchs beginning Monday night. First pitch Monday is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and pregame coverage begins at 6:30 on KFOR FM 101.5/1240 AM.
The Saltdogs are back in 2023! Single-game tickets for all home games are on sale now. Reserve your seats now by calling 402-474-BALL (2255) or order on-line at Saltdogs.com.
