Dillas host Colts to begin last eight-game home stand of 2009

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Dillas welcome the San Angelo Colts Thursday for a four-game series to begin an eight-game home stand. Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays' games will begin at 7:05pm with Sunday's match-up starting at 6:05pm. The Dillas then host the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings on the last leg of the home stand which begins on Monday, August 24 and concludes on Thursday, August 27, bringing the regular-season home game schedule to a close.
Thursdays' game marks the start of the Dillas last home stand which comprises of eight games leaving just four road games against the Edinburg Roadrunners to be played during the regular season, with United League Post- Season play set to begin on Tuesday, September 1. The night's events will also include special prize giveaways including 2010 Season Tickets for one (1) lucky Dillas fan.

Tuesday, August 25 - "The Famous Chicken" presented by Suddenlink After 30 plus years of entertaining at thousands of sports venues around the globe, rumor has it that "The Famous Chicken" is considering retirement. So this very well could be the last time for Dillas fans to see one of the best acts in sport. He is already enshrined in baseball's Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and with Amarillo is in his Top 5 favorite places to visit this should be quite the show that nobody will want to miss.
The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club is a charter member of United League Baseball, a Professional Independent League, with six teams playing in Texas. ULB teams are located in Amarillo, Coastal Bend, Edinburg, Harlingen, Laredo, and San Angelo.
