Anderson Returns For Home Stretch

San Angelo, Texas--- Infielder John Anderson, a member of the San Angelo Colts all-decade team who announced his retirement before the 2009 season, will return to the lineup this evening. Anderson, the 2006 United League MVP, will join the first-place Colts (43-23) with 14 games left in the regular season.

Anderson, has played for the Colts since the 2005 season. In his four previous years with San Angelo, the Minnesota native boasts a .327 average, 67 doubles, and 156 RBI's. Anderson's best year as a Colt was his 2006 campaign, where he tallied a .390 average, 24 stolen bases, and 47 RBI's.

In nine seasons of professional baseball, Anderson has a career .303 average, 14 homers, and 150 stolen bases. San Angelo holds a 6 ½ game lead over the second-place Amarillo Dillas.

San Angelo and Amarillo will continue their four game series today at Foster Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm, gates will open at 6:05.Tuesday's promotion will be Family Night presented by High Sky Children's Ranch, and $2.00 Tuesdays presented by Budweiser.
