El Paso Diablos News Release

El Paso, TX- It was a hard fought game and series but the Diablos come away with their biggest win of the season beating the Sioux Falls Canaries 12-10 in a game with runs galore.

Just like last night's game it wasn't part of the Diablos game plan to give up four runs in the first inning, but as always the Diablos stayed strong and rallied. The Diablos had their best offensive game of the year scoring 12 runs on 18 hits!

The two biggest offensive explosions came in the sixth and eighth inning, first scoring five runs to cut the Canaries lead to one (10-9), then three runs to take a 12-10 lead that eventually became the final score of 12-10

It was a great game for the Diablos all around; shortstop Maikol Gonzalez had 2 RBIs, right fielder Brian Joynt had four hits to go along with his two RBIs, first baseman Murray Watts had two RBIs, and nobody was bigger than designated hitter Jonathan Cisneros who put the Diablos up 11-10 with his third RBI.

The Diablos are now 10-25 this season winning their first series of the year; the Diablos will now go on a seven game road trip, playing the Amarillo Sox, and then the Lincoln SaltDogs.
