Laredo Lemurs News Release

Kansas City, KS - The Kansas City T-Bones (14-21) fired off three homeruns in the first four innings as they go on to beat the Laredo Lemurs (22-13) 6-5 on Saturday night at Community America Ballpark in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Lemurs opened the game on a good note with Jimmy Mojica coming into score on a Devin Goodwin error to give the Lemurs a 1-0 lead through half an inning.

The Lemurs lead wouldn't last long though as Jairo Perez hit a homerun in the bottom of the first with two outs to tie the game at one a piece.

The Lemurs bats would go silent for the next three innings against the T-Bones starting pitcher Devin Anderson (1-1) who picked up the win, going five and a third, giving up two runs, on three hits, with five strikeouts, in his first start of the year.

The Lemurs did not pick up a hit or a base runner in second, third, and fourth innings of play.  During that time the T-Bones gathered three runs with one coming in the second inning when Brandon Jones reached on a double and Felix Molina drove him in with a single to make 2-1 T-Bones.

In the fourth the T-Bones would grab two more runs with solo homers by Devin Goodwin and Ray Sadler to make it 4-1 T-Bones.  The Sadler at bat would be the end of the line for Lemurs starter Garrett Rau (2-2) who left with an unknown injury.  Rau took the loss, pitching three and a third, giving up four runs, on seven hits, with three homeruns by the T-Bones.

The Lemurs would get back on the board in the sixth with a Jimmy Mojica homerun to make it 4-2 T-Bones.  Later in the frame Sawyer Carroll came home to score on a double by Palmer Karr Jr. to bring the Lemurs within one run of the T-Bones 4-3 lead.

In the eighth the T-Bones grabbed two more runs to make it a 6-3 lead.  The Top of the ninth saw the Lemurs score two runs to bring them within one run of tying the game, but it would not be enough in the end.

Single game tickets, season tickets, suite rentals, and group packages are on sale now.  For more information, call the Lemurs' office at 956-7LEMURS or visit the Lemurs' official website at www.laredolemurs.com.
