
Des Moines Buccaneers Host Youth Skills Competition Tonight

Des Moines Buccaneers News Release
The Des Moines Buccaneers will host a skills competition against members of the Des Moines Youth Hockey Association. The event will take place tonight at 95KGGO Arena starting at 5:45 p.m. and is open to all ages of skaters. The skills competition will feature a fastest skater event, a hardest shot event, as well as other events. The youth will have the opportunity to compare their skills against the 2006-07 defending USHL National Champion Buccaneers. The event is open to the public and free of charge to watch.
The Buccaneers kick off their season Saturday, October 7th against the Sioux City Musketeers at 7:00 pm. The opening night extravaganza will feature an unveiling of the 2006 Clark Cup National Championship banner and former Buccaneers are expected to attend.
