Greenville, SC- There was no shortage of offense for Delmarva in the four game series against the Greenville drive the last four nights at West End Field. Delmarva pounded out 57 hits and scored 38 runs in the four game series and won three games. The Shorebirds blasted Greenville 10-1 in the finale Saturday night and had three players with multi hit nights and a team total of 14 hits. Brandon Snyder, Billy Rowell and David Cash all had three hits and at least one RBI. Cash drove in two and was 3-5, with a run scored. Cash was 8-16 in the series, scored three runs, drove in two and swiped three bags. Snyder and Rowell each scored two runs and drove in one.

Brandon Tripp continued his hot hitting with a two run homerun and now leads the team in homers (16) and RBI (71).Tripp was 6-14 in the four game set with nine RBI and five runs scored.

Wilfrido Perez worked a solid four innings allowing no runs and three base hits but was on a limited pitch count and exited before the fifth inning. Reid Hamblet picked up the win in relief allowing only a run on two hits in three innings and now leads the team in victories with seven.

Delmarva's offensive output caused an early exit for 2006 first rounder Daniel Bard who lasted just two and two-thirds innings allowing five earned runs and no strikeouts.

Delmarva heads for August for a Sunday afternoon contest, first pitch set for 5:35pm. Kyle Schmidt (4-8, 3.72 ERA) starts for Delmarva and Augusta will counter with 11 game winner Clayton Tanner.
