DeKoning Named Becker Shoes Player of the Week

The Owen Sound Attack has named goaltender Daniel DeKoning the Becker Shoes Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 13th 2016.

DeKoning appeared in all three games this past week, beginning with a relief appearance in an 8-1 loss to the Barrie Colts.

On Friday, the 19 year old netminder got the start in Kitchener and stopped 28/31 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers. Making back to back starts, DeKoning got the nod again on Saturday evening at home against the Windsor Spitfires. The Listowel native was solid once again, turning aside turning aside 36/40 shots, plus more in the shootout to give the Attack a 5-4 win over the Spitfires.

DeKoning and the Attack is back in action on Thursday when they travel to Erie before heading North to take on Guelph Friday evening. The final Attack home game of the season comes this Saturday against the Kitchener Rangers. Game time at the Bayshore is 7:30pm.

Playoff tickets for home games 1&2 of the Western Conference Quarter Finals are on sale at the DJ's Furniture Attack Box Office. Season Ticket holders are reminded that they have until 1:00pm the day prior to the scheduled home game to claim their seats.
