THIS WEEK IN SPIRIT HOCKEY:
On Thursday night, the Spirit locked horns with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds for the seventh time this season. The Spirit had won five of the first six matchups but on this night, the Soo scored three times in the first and third periods, to knock off the Spirit, 7-3.
On Friday, the Spirit travelled to Sarnia to take on the Sting. Cameron Zanussi made a Spirit career-high 34 saves in the 4-3 overtime loss to Sarnia. Travis Konecny and Pavel Zacha had a goal and an assist each for Sarnia. Mitchell Stephens scored two goals and Tye Felhaber had two assists for the Spirit.
Saturday night, the Spirit entertained the London Knights for the fourth and final time this season. The Knights walked away with the season sweep beating the Spirit, 5-2. Matthew Tkachuk scored two goals and Christian Dvorak and Max Jones had a goal and an assist.
NEXTEER AUTOMOTIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
This week's Nexteer Automotive Player of the Week is 2016 NHL Draft Eligible Tye Felhaber. Felhaber had two goals and two assists in three games this week, with six-game point streak snapped on Saturday night's loss to London.

The Spirit wrap up the regular season with the Sarnia Sting on Saturday night for Dow NASCAR and Overage Night. The Spirit welcome Austin Dillon's number Dow racecar and will honor overage players Connor Brown and Will Petschenig.

The Spirit hosted their second annual Hockey for the Homeless game on Saturday against the London Knights. Special jerseys, ticket sales, and phone bank donations benefitted Rescue Mission of Saginaw and Bay City, Merrill Lynch The Isles Group, and Saginaw Spirit Charitable Foundation.
