December Amarillo-New Mexico Contest Rescheduled
Published on January 7, 2009 under Central Hockey League (CHL)
Amarillo Gorillas News Release
Amarillo, TX 1/7/09 - The daytime game between the Amarillo Gorillas and New Mexico Scorpions, originally scheduled for December 16, has been rescheduled for 11:30 AM Central Time on February 17. New Mexico will host the contest, to be played at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, NM.
New Mexico's annual Kid's Day Game was postponed due to blizzard conditions in the Albuquerque area during mid-December. Most of the schools who had planned to attend were forced to cancel school on the day of the game, causing the necessary rescheduling.
Broadcast of the game will be carried via radio on 1010 AM "The Canyon" in the Amarillo area, with a free online video feed of the game available through the CHL Network.
