De'Anthony Melton Assigned to NAZ Suns
November 27, 2018 - NBA G League (G League)
Northern Arizona Suns News Release
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Phoenix Suns announced today that they have assigned guard De'Anthony Melton to the Northern Arizona Suns.
This marks Melton's third assignment to the NAZ Suns.
In his first two assignments, Melton averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 7.3 assists in 36.0 minutes per game. Due to a stats correction to the rookie's game on Nov. 6, Melton did not achieve a triple-double, but he did record 19 points, 15 assists and eight rebounds. The 15 assists are the most dished in a game by a NAZ Suns player in team history.
He is the only player in the NBA G League averaging at least seven rebounds and six assists among players who have logged three games or more.
Melton has played four games for the Phoenix Suns this season, averaging 2.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 10.5 minutes per game.
The Northern Arizona Suns next play tonight against the Memphis Hustle at the Prescott Valley Event Center at 6:30 p.m. MT.
