
Second Half Comeback Falls Short for BayHawks

Erie, PA - The Erie BayHawks, NBA G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club (4-5), fell to the Raptors 905 (7-3) tonight inside Erie Insurance Arena, 124-123.
Jordan Sibert poured in a season-high 26 points on 9-16 (.563) shooting from the floor, seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 36.2 minutes. 17 of Sibert's 26 points came in the second half. Terrence Jones recorded his third-straight 30-plus point game, finishing tonight's tilt with a game-high 33 points on 12-19 (.631) shooting from the floor, a team-high eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 33.4 minutes. C.J. Anderson led all bench scoring tonight, notching 14 points on 6-7 (.857) shooting from the field, including a 2-3 (.667) clip from three-point territory, four rebounds and two assists in 27.6 minutes. John Gillon dished out a game-high 11 assists, to go along with nine points and five rebounds in 34.3 minutes of action.
Raptors two-way forward Chris Boucher registered a double-double tonight, finishing with a team-high tying 30 points on 8-16 (.500) shooting from the floor, including a 14-15 (.933) mark from the charity stripe, a game-high 15 rebounds, two assists, one steal and a game-high tying three blocks in 35.0 minutes. Fellow Raptors two-way player Jordan Lloyd also poured in a team-high tying 30 points on 10-15 (.667) shooting from the field, including a 4-5 (.800) clip from three-point territory, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in 37.1 minutes of action.
The Raptors 905 jumped out to a quick 11-3 lead with 10 minutes left to play in the opening quarter. After the first 12 minutes of action, the 905 built a 15-point, 45-30, lead. The 905 sustained their lead heading into halftime, holding a 73-55 advantage.
Erie opened the second half on an 8-2 run, cutting its deficit to 12, 75-63, off of back-to-back Jordan Sibert three-pointers. The BayHawks would get within single digits of the 905, 77-68, off of another Sibert corner triple. Sibert continued to have the hot hand in the third, burying his fifth three-pointer of the quarter with 2:23 left on the clock to give Erie a one-point, 98-97, lead. It marked the BayHawks' first lead since the 11:13 mark of the first quarter (3-0). Heading into the fourth quarter, the 905 held a 101-100 advantage. The fourth quarter was back and forth, as each team recorded 23 points. The 905 would eventually walk away with a 124-123 win.
